GOVERNMENT INFESTED WITH CORRUPT MEMBERS

According to Desi Bouterse, Advisor of State, the Government is aware of harbouring corrupt members but does not have the guts to let them go.Bouterse stated further that a reshuffling of the cabinet will have to take place because some team members have not lived up to expectations.Bouterse is calling for National Dialogue,he stated that for those who do not want to take part the choice is theirs but for those who would like to participate should be given the opportunity to do so. Should the situation remain the same then Bouterse fears the worst is yet to come. The people expect leadership from the Government, but so far this Government has only proved its lack of initiative to bring about the neccessary reform, so that the President is always busy trouble-shooting. He is afraid that should the Government not do something fast it will be too late.He pointed out that if you want to sell Bruynzeel you should do it in the proper way.According to Bouterse the Government is not paying attention to the every day needs of the people , as an example he pointed to the ferries that have not been paid up for longer than a year. Bouterse stated further that when increases were made the people should be properly advised of this and that in cases that involved the elderly the money should really be used towards this end.Bouterse, always the perpetual athlete, closed by saying that the Government will have to play better in the second half and evaluate matters in a more open and just way by making tha necessary corrections where needed.

CLO SEES UPCOMONG ACTIONS

The CLO is very frustrated and disappointed with the President and Vice Presidents report that the Government workers will not receive any loan increases. They are out for war against the Government saying that they will leave no stone unturned to bring about the fall of this Government. The CLO is asking for a 100 percent loan correction which the President and Vice President do not find neccessary at this moment. In an earlier report the President stated that he would not be held responsible for creating aa situation for the workers where they will have more money but less buying power. He therefore opted to reduce the prices of basic goods with 30 percent . In their letter to the Government the CLO stated that they wll react to what they call provocation of the Government in a suitable manner if the Government dont come across with the demands of the CLO.
